CATRIN VINCENT

Catrin is a singer, song-writer and musician. She wrote the soundtrack for the short film 'Mache Man' which was performed by Cleo Demetriou, original star of the RSC's hit musical 'Matilda.' Last year she won a competition with Roundhouse EMI and subsequently recorded an original song at EMI Studios at the Roundhouse. More recently she has been offered a place at Goldsmiths in London to study music and will commence her studies there in September. Catrin has written the original song 'You cannot take my soul' for inclusion in Slaves of the Kingdom.

 

 

Jessica undertook a foundation at the Guildford School of Acting and holds her GSA and National Diplomas in Musical Theatre. In September she will continue her training on the BA Hons Musical Theatre course at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Jessica has performed at 'West End Live' and gained experience singing and dancing at The Ryder Cup Ceremony alongside Catherine Zeta Jones, Dame Shirely Bassey, and Katherine Jenkins. Theatre credits include Mayzie in 'Seussical' (GSA), Scaramouche in 'We Will Rock You', Sharon in 'A Slice of Satruday Night', and Lucy in 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.' Jessica appeared in the film 'Summertime', and in TV episodes of 'Casualty' and 'Stella.' She is thrilled to be choreographing Slaves of the Kingdom.

KATE SANDS

Kate trained at the London School of Musical Theatre and holds a BA (Hons) in drama from Exeter University. Her credits include Florence in 'Chess' (Adrian Mann Theatre), Diana in 'A Chorus Line' (LOST Theatre), Kathy in 'Company' (Charles Cryer Theatre), Ronette in 'Little Shop of Horrors' (Arthur Cotterell Theatre), First Cover in 'Just So' (The Tabard), Buddy's Assistant in 'City of Angels' (Bridewell Theatre), and Peter Pan/Tink in 'Peter Pan' (TIE Tour). Kate is excited to be making her debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Slaves of the Kingdom.

JESSICA WARREN-BASHAM

STEPHEN REDWOOD

 

Stephen trained on the foundation course at the Guildford School of Acting and his performance credits there include Tom in 'Citizenship' and Chebutikin in 'The Three Sisters.' His professional credits include Joshua in 'For King and Country', and Tristan Goddard in 'The Myle High Club.' Stephen has recently gained a place on the BA Acting course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where he will commence his training in September.

He is looking forward to performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

LAURA GRETTON

Laura recently graduated from the University of Cumbria with a First Class joint honours degree in Musical Theatre Performance and Technical Theatre. Whilst training she performed the role of Adela in 'Bernarda Alba the Musical' and appeared as Krysta/Fraulein Knuppeldick in 'Spring Awakening'. In addition to this Laura specialised in Stage Management and worked in this department on a number of productions including 'Lark Rise to Candleford' and 'Festen.'  Laura holds her DipLCM in Music Theatre with Distinction. Since graduating she has toured throughout the UK with Chaplin's Pantos, playing the title role of Dick Whittington.

DARREN LAWRENCZUK

Darren trained at the London School of Musical Theatre and the Bristol Academy of Performing Arts. Whilst training he played Riff in 'West Side Story,' Seymour in ''Little Shop of Horrors,' Herr Schultz in 'Cabaret,' and also originated the role of Chervil in the world premiere of 'Watership Down.'

His professional credits include: 'Broadway and Beyond' (Charing Cross Theatre), Buttons in 'Cinderella' (Chaplains Tour), Lead Vocalist in 'Scandalacious', 'Magical Musicals,' and 'Great Balls of Fire.' (Spain), and Bird Seller/Ensemble in 'Sweeney Todd,' (Tour).

His radio and television work includes, 'West Side Story' (BBC Bristol) and 'Skin Deep' (Ignition Films, ITV). Darren has also worked for three years as lead vocalist for TED UK.

SIMONA KINDARAVICIUTE

Simona originates from Lithuania where she gained experience performing in street theatre and children's theatre.

She moved to the UK to study, and holds a degree in Musical Theatre from the University of Wolverhampton.Whilst studying she had the opportunity to tour internationally, performing in productions such as 'Chess', 'The New World', 'Jesus Christ Superstart',  and 'Gypsy'.

Her dance experience includes Salsa and Argentinian Tango, and she is also a keen pianist. As well as speaking fluent English, Simona also speaks Russian and Italian. She is excited to be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe 2013 with ChangingTheScene.

CAMILLE MESNARD

Camille moved from France to the UK to pursue a career in Musical Theatre, training at the Liverpool Theatre School. Camille's professional credits include: Gienetta in 'Pirates of Penzance' (Buxton Opera House), Beauty and Snow White in Pele Productions' Pantomimes (Grimsby Auditorium) and Jill in 'Jack and the Beanstalk' (The Brindley Theatre). She was part of the 'Children of Eden' cast (Prince of Wales Theatre), performing alongside Louise Dearman, Oliver Thornton and Kerry Ellis. Camille appeared as Christine in 'Now and Forever', co-produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jean Ann Ryan Productions. She was one of twenty finalists in 'Over the Rainbow', Andrew Lloyd Webber's BBC search for Dorothy. Camille is thrilled to be performing in Slaves of the Kingdom.

RACHEL PARTINGTON

Rachel trained on the foundation at the Guildford School of Acting.

Her previous roles include Lesbia Nightingale in 'Big Book for Girls' (GSA), Mary Warren in 'The Crucible', Mrs Meers in 'Thoroughly Modern Millie', Molly in 'Road,' and Friar Lawrence in 'Romeo and Juliet.' Rachel was a member of the national company Youth Music Theatre:UK and appeared as Isabella in their 2011 production of 'Love and Madness.'     

She gained experience performing in street theatre and more recently worked as an actor at Warwick Castle. Rachel holds a LAMDA Gold award in Acting and her DipLCM in Musical Theatre with Distinction.

 

ROBYN HOWE

 

Robyn trained at Bird College and graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Dance and Theatre Performance. Whilst training at Bird she performed the roles of Dolly in 'Hello Dolly', Mayzie in 'Seussical' and Lucille in 'Parade'.

Since graduating, Robyn has performed in 'West Side Story', produced by The Sage Gateshead in association with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) as part of the World Shakespeare Festival.

Robyn is also co-founder of London-based creative fitness project 'Zip! Zap! Zumba!', providing fitness classes for adults alongside drama and dance classes for children.

Robyn is very excited to be making her Edinburgh Fringe debut with 'Slaves of the Kingdom.'

LISA ANGHARAD

Lisa trained as an actress and singer at the Arden Theatre School.

Originally from Aberyswyth, Lisa is fluent in both English and Welsh and is regular face on Welsh television. Her unique presenting style has captured the attention of S4C's audience. She presented 'Ddoe am Ddeg' (Yesterday at Ten), 'Y Dyn ei Hun' (A Girl in a Man's World!), and 'Perrfaith Hapus' (Perfectly Happy) for S4C, and recently played Cadi in S4C's award winning drama 'Gwaith Cartef' (Home Work).

Lisa featured as a soloist on 'A Voice for Wales', produced by Boomerang and Decca Records. She represented Wales as a folk singer at the Smithsonian Festival in Washington DC, and was a guest with the Welsh National Opera at the Kennedy Centre.

She is currently recording the food programme 'Blas' for BBC Radio Cymru.

Slaves of the Kingdom marks Lisa's Edinburgh Fringe debut.

MARCUS MARSH

Marcus is an actor, singer, and musician. His past credits at the Charterhouse School (Ben Travers Theatre) include; Joseph K in 'The Trial', Rodolpho in 'A View from the Bridge', Private Kropp in 'All Quiet on the Western Front', Gravedigger in 'Hamlet', and the Principal in 'Godspell.' Marcus studied for a year at the University of Kent, and since finishing is looking to pursue a career in the arts. Whilst at University Marcus set up the 'Medway Amatuer Dramatic Society', directing John Osbourne's 'Look Back in Anger' and winning the 'Event of the Year' and 'Best New Society' awards, as well as being presented with an individual prize for 'Outstanding Achievement'. Marcus is looking forward to making his Fringe debut with ChangingTheScene.

PAULA BRETT

Paula graduated from the London School of Musical Theatre in 2012.  Since graduating she has appeared in productions such as 'Prometheus Bound' (The White Bear Theatre), and as an actor-musician in 'Gulliver's Travels/A Little of What You Fancy' with the London Touring Theatre. As well as acting, singing and dancing, Paula plays both the Ukelele and Clarinet.

Prior to training, Paula worked in Europe for over a year, firstly as a Parade Dancer at Disneyland Paris, and subsequently as a dancer with a circus in Switzerland. Paula can currently be heard reading the travel news for radio stations such as the BBC, LBC and Gold. 

GRACE LEWIS

Grace completed her training at the CAP 21 Professional Musical Theatre Conservatory in New York last May. Since graduating she has appeared as Wendy in 'Peter Pan, The British Musical' (Gordon-Craig Theatre), and played Sarah McFarland in the UK/European premiere of new musical 'The Hatpin' (Blue Elephant Theatre). Other credits include Ester in 'Meet Me in St.Louis', Lucy in 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe', and Jo Beth in 'The Story of Jo Beth - a New Pop Rock Musical'. Grace also appeared on the vocal recordings for the 2012 New York Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade. Grace is thrilled to be making her Edinburgh Fringe debut supporting an incredible cause with Slaves of the Kingdom.

 CONNAH ANDREWS

Connah recently graduated from Laine Theatre Arts with a Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre. He also holds his Trinity London National Diploma in Musical Theatre.

Connah's previous credits include Mr Smee in 'Peter Pan' (Watersmeet), 'Movin' in Time' (Epsom Playhouse Theatre), 'The Spirit of Life' (Epsom Playhouse Theatre), Jonas Fogg in 'Sweeney Todd' (Porthcawl Grand Pavillion), and Billy Flynn in 'Starting Now' (Swansea Grand).

In addition to this he is an experienced tumbler and martial artist. 

Connah looks forward to performing at the Edinburgh Fringe 2013.

ChangingTheScene

RICARDA MAUCKNER

Ricarda is currently studying Acting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Originally from Germany, Ricarda is fluent in both German and English and has gained professional experience in Germany, England and America. Her professional theatre credits include Aurora in 'Sleeping Beauty' (Crown Theatre, North Carolina) and Eva in 'Chatroom' (Langengeld Forum, Germany). Her professional film credits include 'You Know the Way Nostalgia Feels' (BFI, London), 'Out of Time' (Prince Charles Cinema, Lonson), and 'The Shot' (NYFA Productions).

Her theatre credits at Royal Welsh include Sonya in 'Uncle Vanya', and Catherine in 'A View From The Bridge.'

Ricarda has been dancing since the age of four and holds her Intermediate Certificate in Ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance. Slaves of the Kingdom marks her Edinburgh Fringe debut.

 JOSH HOWELL

Josh has just completed his second year at Surrey University studying for a BA Hons  in Theatre Studies. Josh has been performed from a youg age, gaining experience in  local choirs and theatre companies.  He had the privaledge of being elected as president of the Musical Theatre Society at Surrey University and has since moved on to work with the Student Union as Executive Arts Officer.

His previous theatre credits include 'Songs for a New World' and 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.' Josh is looking forward to performing in a new musical at the Edinburgh Fringe.
